Paige Sáez

Principal product designer based in Oakland, CA, who is passionate about mixed-methods research and has a deep foundation in human-centered design.

With extensive experience dating all the way back to 2006 😮, I bring a thoughtful, multidisciplinary approach to crafting impactful products and services.

I'm also a studio artist and bicycle mechanic. In 2007, I co-founded Makerlab, a creative studio and design-build collective, I run my own consultancy at Little Cities and I teach product design + research at California College of the Arts.

Led design for Carrot Fertility and Surfboard, and drove research for Replika and Talk to Spot, taking each from early concept to launch with lean studies and first-edition design systems. 

Lead Product Designer at Cisco DNA.

Shipped DNA Center’s natural-language command bar and Machine Reasoning dashboard, turning ML insights into plain-English guidance now relied on by 500+ enterprise network admins.

Lead User Experience Designer at Honeycomb.

As the first designer, overhauled navigation, query builder, and heat-map views so engineers could explore high-volume telemetry faster and onboard with less friction. 

UX Director and Curriculum designer at Designlab.

Founded the UX Academy program—authoring curriculum, rubrics, and assessments—and scaled enrollment five-fold while mentoring 100+ early-career designers worldwide.
